David Anderson is a private investigator. That's just to pay his bills though. What he really wants to do is write. Unfortunately, his day job isn't as exciting as the hard-boiled detective novel that's brewing in his brain. That is, until sexy and sassy Jacey Wilder walks through his door.
Jacey Wilder is an accountant. Not because she really wants to be, but she's approaching the date she'd given herself to become successful, pay the bills anyway, with her art and it hasn't worked out like she'd planned. She's lined up the accounting job and is ready to start on Monday. She just wants to clear up some things with an old flame before she moves on, and decides that David is the man to find her man.
This story was a wondeful update of the old pulp detective novels with a romantic twist. Be sure to check out the sequel, The Spy Who Loves Me, due out in June.
